Praised for her “velvet soprano voice” (Philadelphia Inquirer),  Elena Perroni has gained recognition on the international stage. She is a 2018 graduate of the world renowned Curtis Institute of Music and made her professional opera debut with Opera Philadelphia, singing the role of Doris Parker in Charlie Parker's Yardbird (Schnyder), making history performing the first opera at the legendary Apollo Theatre in New York City.  She reprised the role at English National Opera, in 2017.​

       

As well as quickly attracting attention as a leading lady on the opera stage, Ms. Perroni is also making a name for herself in the concert hall.  In 2017, she made her debut with theacclaimed Philadelphia Orchestra singing selections from the leading role of Rusalka (Rusalka, Dvořák) in concert. She appeared again with the Philadelphia Orchestra in the title role of Tatyana to sing selections of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin in 2018 and returned in 2019 with the Philadelphia Orchestra to perform Berlioz, Les Nuit D'été.  Elena made her main stage Carnegie Hall Debut as the soprano soloist in Schubert’s Mass in G major as well as her Konzerthaus Berlin debut premiering the new work Canti Della Natura by Richard Danielpour. She will reprise the piece in Accademia Musicale Chigiana, Siena this June. This season she joined Head of Music at the Metropolitan Opera YAP, Myra Huang and NY Philharmonic principal clarinetist Anthony McGill  in Schubert’s Shepard on the Rock. The trio also debuted the work of Chava’s Daughters by James Lee III with the Cleveland Chamber Music Society in March 2023.  Elena recently performed Britten’s War Requiem and Brahm’s Ein Deutsches Requiem with West Australian Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Asher Fisch. Last season she made her role and house debut as Gilda in Rigoletto with New Zealand Opera and will return as Mimì in La Boheme. She will be making her Colorado Symphony Orchestra debut as well as Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra Debut singing Britten's War Requiem.

 

 She has performed Mimi (La Boheme, Puccini) with Quad Cities Symphony Orchestra, Maria in West Side Story (Bernstein), with the Reno Philharmonic. Gala concert with Wyoming Symphony Orchestra.

In 2018, Ms. Perroni placed third in the International Gerda Lissner Vocal Competition. As a New York regional winner, she placed in the Loren L. Zachary competition. Ms. Perroni was also a Philadelphia regional winner of the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition. Upon graduating from the Curtis Institute of Music Ms. Perroni was awarded the Festorazzi Scholarship for most promising vocalist. 

At Curtis, Ms. Perroni's resume includes some of the most well known roles in the opera repertory including Adina (L'elisir d’Amore, Donizetti), Manon (Manon, Massenet), Anne Truelove (The Rake's Progress, Stravinsky), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro, Mozart), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi, Puccini), and Magda (La Rondine, Puccini ).  Ms. Perroni has also performed the leading roles of Mimi (La Boheme, Puccini) and Gilda (Rigoletto, Verdi) at the Chautauqua Music Festival.
